Create Collaborate Impact
About me
CookCreativeArts comes from my own experience of writing, training and trying to find my place in the industry. I’ve always been drawn to work that feels genuine. I love to develop work that is both entertaining but where it doesn’t feel forced. My focus is on writing performance and creating performance that has purpose, rather than performance for the sake of it.
This is what pushed me to create something of my own, as a freelancer, where I can help actors explore their craft in a way that feels supported, and purposeful. I want to be a part of different projects, whether that be in a project management role, consulting, director/producer role or as an actor myself.
My background across theatre, education, and community has shaped how I approach my work. I’m interested in giving other creatives practical tools they can actually use in their own work, while also creating an environment where people feel comfortable enough to take risks and push themselves. For me, it’s not about perfection—it’s about personal and professional growth, consistent practise, and building self confidence.
The heart of CookCreativeArts is my commitment to quality practise. I want it to be an inclusive space where people feel welcome, challenged, and taken seriously. Regardless of where you are starting from as a creative, building your skills and creating work you are proud of has to be at the core of your professional practise. Ultimately, your work only matters if YOU feel like it has purpose and YOU feel connected to it as a creative.
